Free Shipping, Freight and Will Call Explained

When does my order qualify for free shipping?
We will honor free shipping every time you spend $600 or more in our store and we can ship the items you purchased via UPS, Fedex or USPS. This offer applies only when you live in any of the 48 contiguous U.S. states. Unfortunately we were unable to include Alaska and Hawaii.


Why only those carriers and why are bigger items excluded?
Because UPS, Fedex and USPS have flat rates that can be easily estimated for regular size packages. That allows us to reward our customers without losing money due to additional shipping charges imposed on us, such as, additional fees due to oversized items.


What products do NOT qualify for free shipping?
Deep cycle batteries, large solar panels (250W and up), refrigerators, freezers, metal battery enclosures and any other item or combination of items that require a freight carrier, and usually pallets, for transportation. In other words, items we cannot ship via standard UPS, FedEx or USPS.


Why is that?
The reason is that freight transportation is more expensive than standard ground carriers and also not as straight forward to estimate. Please be aware that we always keep in mind the best interest of our customers. We make sure to provide the lowest possible shipping costs for these heavier products and avoid added costs in every way possible. This means that it might take a little longer for our staff to manually calculate the freight charges, and we appreciate your patience and your willingness to work with us.


How do I know if my order is shipping today or tomorrow?
Very simple, we will let you know. By default we consider that all orders will ship out the same or next day. If this is not the case because some of your items are back ordered, we will let you know shortly after you have placed the order. You are welcome to contact us prior to clicking the "Checkout" button.


What items are available for will call and in what locations?
The will call locations are distribution centers managed by manufacturers and distributors we have partnered with. We have no control over their facilities and as you can imagine every case is different. Each will call order will need good communication between all parties involved. The first step is to find out if there is a distribution center near you that stocks the products you are looking for. Some of the main centers we work with are located in Northern California, Southern California and New Jersey; feel free to email or call us, we will be happy to find one near you.
