The Phocos ECO-N-20-T Charge Controller is a compact and efficient charge controller specifically designed for smaller PV systems that require low battery disconnect. They feature a simple, easy to use design that integrates a three LED display that allows the monitoring of the system’s progress, battery SOC and system load status.
The ECO-N-T controllers are fully encapsulated with a IP68 casing made to handle harsh environments. They are negative grounded and can operate in 12V and 24V systems (auto-detection). This is one of the few fully encapsulated charge controllers featuring screw terminals.
Phocos ECO-N-T charge controllers have three electronically regulated charging modes; boost, main and float. These charge controllers are engineered for electronic protection against panel surge voltage, wrong polarity of panels or batteries, system overload, and short circuit. Despite it’s size and simple design, the ECO-N-T controllers are adaptable to weather and temperature changes with an integrated temperature compensation. They also include deep discharge protection, as well as IP68 protection, meaning it has the highest ratings to withstand dust or dirt particles, pressure and even water submersion.

The ECO-N-20-T can operate interchangeably with 12V and 24V solar panels. The 20A will allow you to connect one or multiple panels up to 240W. Keep in mind that this is not an MPPT controller and the panels used have to be 12V or 24V nominal, this controller will not work with high voltage modules commonly used in residential applications. The electronics are entirely encapsulated and feature screw terminals for easy installation, it is an ideal controller for systems with exposure to the elements. For environments with extreme corrosion we recommend the ECO 10 (only 12V) which is fully encapsulated and has no moving parts. The ECO-N-20-T features a 20A Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD) to prevent the batteries from over discharging. An alternative in this range would be the CMLup20, however is not encapsulated and recommended for indoor use only. The CMLsolid30 is an encapsulated controller with 30A capacity for larger systems.
