The S-5-S clamps are specifically designed by S-5! to be used on popular snap-together standing seam metal roof profiles. They make the installation of large solar arrays on standing seam metal roofs a breeze. The clamps can also be used with horizontal seams where the horizontal projection is under 0.54 inches without the need to double fold the seam.
The S-5-S clamp has been tested on most major brands and profiles of standing seam roofing with extremely good results. The independent lab test data is available and can be used for designs and applications with critical loads.
The S-5-S clamps are sold with the hardware shown in the image. All included hardware is stainless steel, the S-5-S is compatible with most common metal roofing materials except for copper. The installation of the S-5-S clamps is as simple as placing the clamp on the seam and tightening round-point setscrews, then attach the rails for the solar array using the bolt provided.
