The Solmetric PVA-1000S PV 30A Analyzer Kit includes a SolSensor wireless PV reference sensor, PVA test leads alligator clips for MC4 connectors, and an I-V Data Analysis tool. The PVS-1000S analyzer kit is rated for 1000 Volt systems, it measures irradiance, module temperature, tilt angles, I-V and P-V curves for each string of modules in the PV array. The alligator clips can be used to connect to combiner boxes while the MC4 connect directly to the PV module or string. The cable is 5ft long.
The PVA-1000S 30A utilizes wireless technology with a range of 300ft and with up to 12 hours of battery life. It can operate in extreme temperatures, as well as in low light. The tool communicates with Windows tablets or laptops and stores data for future reference. The 1000V curve tracer accurately calculates the performance of the entire system, as well as for each string of modules, with the built in PV performance modeling. The data is formatted to be used in Microsoft Excel and immediately create curves for analysis. It also generates a report including information of all the strings in the array. Comes standard with a 1-year warranty, a 2-year plan is available.
Solmetric Corporation is the company that invented the famous SunEye shade analysis tool. It was founded in 2005 and is based in Sebastopol, California. Solmetric also owns an advanced I-V curve tracer called the PV Analyzer. The SunEye shade tool is mostly used by residential solar installers. The PV Analyzer is used for commissioning and troubleshooting commercial and utility scale PV systems.
