Shipping FAQ

Learn more about how we could ship your order

U.S. Shipping
Where in the US do you ship?
We ship orders across the United States (except Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico: see section below).

When does my order qualify for preferential shipping?
We will provide preferential shipping rates every time you spend $600 or more in our store and can send the purchased items via UPS, Fedex, or USPS. Please note that this offer does not apply to those living in Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico, and does not include LTL freight shipments.

What products do NOT qualify for preferential shipping?
Items we cannot ship via standard UPS, FedEx, or USPS, such as deep cycle batteries, large solar panels (250W and up), metal battery enclosures, and any other item or combination of items that typically require a freight carrier or pallets for transportation. That being said, we make sure to provide the lowest possible shipping costs for these heavier products and avoid additional costs. This means that it might take a little longer for our staff to manually calculate the freight charges, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation.

How do I know if my order will ship today or tomorrow?
Our standard practice is that our orders will ship the same or next day. If this is not the case because some of your items are back ordered, we will let you know shortly after you have placed the order. You are welcome to contact us before placing your order by clicking on the "checkout" button.

What items are available for will call and in what locations?
Will call locations are distribution centers managed by manufacturers and distributors with which we have partnered: we have no control over their facilities and each location is unique. The first step is to determine if there is a distribution center near you that stocks the products you are looking for. Some of the main centers we work with are located in northern California, southern California, and New Jersey. Feel free to email or call us and we will be happy to help find a location in your area.

Are you willing to offer a more competitive shipping rate for my order?
Absolutely. If you think that the rate shown online can be improved, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Do you expedite orders?
Yes, on an individual basis. Some items end up being too expensive to expedite, so please contact us to discuss your options.

Can you ship any items to Mexico?
In most cases we can ship any of the items we advertise on our online catalog. There are some limitations on items such as lead-acid batteries and solar panels.

What is the estimated delivery time?
It typically takes 10 to 14 days to receive your items in Mexico. Freight shipments might take a few extra days.

Do you have an office and inventory in Mexico?
We have offices in Monterrey and we stock some products in Mexico. Please note, however, that all products displayed on webosolar.com are shipped from the United States. For products available in Mexico please visit webosolar.mx.

How do you ship to Mexico?
Our shipping options to Mexico fall into two categories: a) Shipping via U.S. Customs (recommended for heavy products that require the use of pallets or for orders over $5,000) We will send your order to your customs broker anywhere in CA, NM, AZ, TX, or FL. The purchaser is responsible for covering the broker and freight forwarding fees. b) Shipping directly to Mexico (recommended for small items that can be shipped in parcel boxes, provided that the total order is less than $5,000). Your equipment will ship directly to your location in Mexico directly from the distribution center in the U.S.

How about payment, taxes (IVA) and the invoice?
For orders shipping to Mexico we accept all major credit cards, as well as payments made via PayPal. We also accept wire transfers to our US based bank account. We only issue American invoices. All orders shipped directly to a Mexican location are subject to IVA and 6% duty on the value of the goods (this includes transportation insurance). We do not charge IVA or sales tax on orders that ship to your customs broker or freight forwarder.

Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico
Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico?
Yes, but with some limitations. We can ship items under 72 lbs that can be packed in a standard size cardboard box. Heavy and large items such as batteries and solar panels that require the use of pallets for transportation cannot be shipped. If you are unable to enter your address during the checkout process, please contact us and we will happily provide you with an accurate shipping cost.

Can I use my own carrier?
Yes. It usually takes 2-3 days to have an order packed. Once the order is ready we will provide you with the location, package dimensions, total weight, and any special instructions so tjat you can schedule a pickup with the carrier of your preference.

International Orders
Do you accept international orders?
Yes, we can process your order if you live outside the United States. Keep in mind that we do not ship products outside of U.S. territory, but there are a few options available to you.

How can I receive my order if I live outside the U.S.?
If you have an active account with Fedex, DHL, UPS, or any other freight forwarder, we will fill out the required forms, prepare the documentation, and deposit your equipment with your preferred carrier. Related shipping cost, taxes, and fees will be charged to your account. For large shipments, when the equipment needs to be arranged in pallets or is too heavy to ship in boxes, it is necessary to contract a freight forwarder. In most cases, we will deliver the equipment to your customs broker anywhere within the U.S. and they will then prepare the documentation and employ a freight forwarder to ship the equipment to your location. It will be your responsibility to find a customs broker; the cost related to the import/export, freight, and taxes will be billed directly to the purchaser.

Shipping Specific Products
60-cell and 72-cell solar panels
Due to their size, 60-cell and 72-cell (260W and above) solar panels can only be shipped on pallets via LTL freight. It is not possible to ship them in boxes via regular carriers like UPS and Fedex. Shipping cost varies depending on weight and location; the shopping cart will estimate shipping cost at checkout. We encourage you to contact us if you consider that the shipping rate provided during checkout could be improved. 60-cell and 72-cell solar panels do not qualify for free shipping. Note about possible damage: any damage should always be noted upon delivery. It is extremely challenging to successfully file a damage claim without the proper evidence and documentation. Always carefully inspect all merchandise upon delivery; if you notice any damage, take pictures showing that it was caused during transportation and always note it in the BOL or delivery receipt prior to signing.

12V and 24V solar panels
For shipping purposes, 12V and 24V solar panels are divided into two categories: panels under 100W and panels 100W and over. For panels smaller than 100W, the standard store shipping policies apply; shipping cost will be calculated during checkout. Due to their size and weight, panels 100W and over are handled differently. There are 3 possible ways to ship them: a) Small orders can ship via standard UPS ground. We pack the panels the best way we can, but it is important to note that UPS standard insurance will only cover a maximum of $100; any loss or damage not covered by the claim will be the responsibility of the consignee. b) Via UPS ground with additional insurance to cover the full value of the shipment. c) LTL freight (this is usually the more costly option) is optional for small orders and required for lager quantities. All merchandise is insured. Please inquiry for further information. Note about possible damage: any damage should always be noted upon delivery. Most inverters, microinverters and optimizers qualify for preferential shipping within the continental US. Additional delivery services (liftgate, call-in-advance, or special residential deliveries) are not included and might have an extra cost. Wind turbines
All Primus and Silentwind turbines qualify for free shipping within the continental US.  Spare parts and accessories will ship free when ordered together with the turbine.
